N-ARACHIDONYLGLYCINE
Biochem/physiol Actions
Arachidonylglycine (NAGly) is a metabolite of the endocannabinoid anandamide (AEA) that binds to G-protein coupled receptor 18 (GPR18). It is an endogenous inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), and also shown to be an inhibitor of the glycine transporter GlyT2. NAGly is involved in a number of pathways associated with analgesic activity and has exhibited analgesic properties in a rat model of inflammatory pain
