Solifenacin succinate (SOL) blocks the cholinergic signals to M3receptors by inhibiting the muscarinic M3receptors in the bladder. This action prevents the contractions of the detrusor muscles in the urinary bladder wall, leading to relaxing the bladder as well as decreasing urinary urgency and nocturia. Thus, SOL is a widely used antimuscarinic agent for treating the contraction of the overactive bladder.
