NITD008 is a selective inhibitor of flaviviruses including dengue virus (EC50 = 0.64 µM), hepatitis C virus and Zika virus, and has also been shown to inhibit tick-borne flaviviruses in vitro. NITD008 has been reported to inhibit RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), an essential protein of RNA viruses.
