Rp-8-bromo-cGMPS is a cell permeable cGMP analog that blocks cGMP-dependent protein kinase (cGK, G-kinase, Protein Kinase G, PKG). Rp-8-bromo-cGMPS is resistant to hydrolysis by phosphodiesterases and binds cGK without activating it, resulting in competitive inhibition.
