Biochem/physiol Actions
KA-11 is a broad-spectrum anticonvulsant hybrid molecule that joins the chemical fragments of well-known anti-epileptic drugs such as ethosuximide, levetiracetam, and lacosamide. KA-11 was shown to have antiepileptogenic and antinociceptive properties in animal models. Its mechanism of action is believed to involve influence on the neuronal voltage-sensitive sodium and L-type calcium channels.
