Gastrin I human has been used as a molecular weight marker to calibrate superdex® 30 columns.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Gastrin plays a major role in parietal cell function, gastric epithelial cell multiplication and differentiation. It acts as a modulator in maintaining and organizing gastric mucosa. It is produced in the stomach and stimulates gastric acid secretion.

Gastrin is a linear peptide. It is a gastrointestinal hormone, produced by G cells in the stomach.
