Amyloid beta aggregation leading to profibril formation and neurotoxicity is associated with Alzheimer′s disease. Several antibodies require the presence of amino acids 10-16 for Aβ detection. This peptide may be useful as a control in immunohistochemistry, ELISA and other antibody based analysis.
