General description

Fibronectin is a ubiquitous protein of the extracellular matrix. It is a mosaic protein, that is made up of three types of repeating modular consensus amino acid sequences. Fibronectins belongs to a class of high-molecular-weight glycoproteins.Cellularfibronectin is expressed by fibroblasts and plasmafibronectinis usually liberated by hepatocytes.
