Alkaline phosphatase is suitable for dephosphorylation of 5' and 3'-overhangs, recessed ends, blunt ends, and single nucleotides. Following incubation, alkaline phosphatase can be easily inactivated by heating.
Bacterial alkaline phosphatase recombinantly expressed in E. coli
Active in PCR and restriction endonuclease buffers
Inactivated by heating at 75°C for 5 minutes
Use together with Exonuclease I for cleaning up PCR reactions prior to downstream application such as DNA sequencing
