PKAc? (protein kinase cAMP-activated catalytic subunit ?) is a catalytic isoform of cyclic adenosine monophosphate-dependent protein kinase. It is an intronless gene and has a testis-specific expression. It is involved in platelet biogenesis. Mutation in PKAc? causes macrothrombocytopenia, an inherited thrombocytopenias.
