General description

Angiopoietin-related protein 3 (ANGPTL3) is a member of the ANGPTLfamily and is expressed in the liver. The ANGPTL3 gene is mapped on the human chromosome at 1p31.3. Mutations in the ANGPTL3 gene lead to familial combinedhypolipidemia, a Mendelian condition that is indicated by lower levels of triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. The ANGPTL3 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit provides for the quantitative measurement of angiopoietin-related protein 3 in cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum.
