Elastin?Congo red has been used as a substrate for neutrophil elastase, salivary elastase and P. aeruginosa.


General description


Elastin?Congo red is a substrate-dye conjugate and is used in agar medium to probe elastase activity. The presence of elastase functionality leads to cleavage of the dye from the elastin substrate.
