General description
Members of the SOX family of transcription factors are widely conserved and play important roles in early development and are often used as markers to assess the differentiation of specific cell lineages. SOX-15 (also known as SOX-20) is a nuclear, 25 kDa transcriptional repressor that belongs to group G of the SOX gene family. Sox-15 is widely expressed in fetal and adult tissues, with highest level found in fetal spinal cord, adult brain and adult testis. Recently, SOX-15 has been identified as having transcriptional control in mouse embryonic stem cells pluripotency along with SOX-2. SOX-15 is also expressed in myoblasts and regulates skeletal muscle regeneration and differentiation.
Immunogen
GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human SOX-15.
