Alcian Blue 8GX, BioReagent, suitable for detection of glycoproteins
Application
Alcian Blue 8GX has been used: for the quantification of sulphated glycosaminoglycan to stain differentiated chondrocytes to access proteoglycan?s synthesis by these cells to stain Multi-lineage differentiation of hemangioma-derived perivascular cells (Hem-PCs) in histological staining to detect neutral and charged carbohydrate residues
General description
Alcian Blue 8GX is a cationic phthalocyanine dye. It has an ability to interact with sulphated glycosaminoglycan. It is used as a counterstain to visualize histological tissue sections. In addition, alcian blue 8GX also aids in the in-situ quantification of marine biofilms produced by marine bacteria.
