Application

4-Nitrophenyl ?-D-lactopyranoside may be used as a substrate for determining ?-lactosidase activity and for determining the substrate specificity for ?-glucosidase from the yeast Debaryomyces hansenii. It has also been used as a substrate for cellobiohydrolase.
