4-Methylumbelliferyl ?-D-mannopyranoside has been used as a fluorogenic substrate for ? -mannosidase in the enzyme assay of mice tissue extracts, in cell-free translation and midgut of Lutzomyia longipalpis.
Biochem/physiol Actions
4-Methylumbelliferyl ?-D-mannopyranoside is a fluorescent ligand for concanavalin A and interacts with its carbohydrate binding region. It is also a fluorogenic substrate for ?-mannosidase.
