BVT.2733 is a potent and selective inhibitor of 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β-HSD1) that protects osteoblasts against endogenous glucocorticoid induced dysfunction. BVT.2733 lowers blood glucose levels in in hyperglycaemic mice.
